What Are the Steps Involved in Investigating and Opening a Freedom Boat Club Franchise?

Good for you! The first step is research and it’s obvious you are well underway in that process. We encourage you to do your due diligence and research our club thoroughly to best prepare you for the second step, which is setting up a phone call with a member of our business development team.

Our business development executives are seasoned industry leaders whose goals are to assist you however possible as you analyze the Freedom Boat Club franchise model. An initial phone call is recommended to address the basics of owning a Freedom Boat Club franchise.

If, following the initial consultation, you’re interested to further review, you will be sent the Franchise Disclosure Document. If after review and receipt you choose to sign it, the next step will be for us to connect you with existing franchise owners and operators in our network. We firmly support the concept of letting our franchises speak candidly with our prospects in order to address topics and issues of interest. We believe this honest level of exchange helps prospects best analyze and validate if a Freedom Boat Club is the right fit for their future.

Prospective franchises have the option to participate in a “discovery visit” at our Venice, FL headquarters to meet with your business development representative as well as members of our corporate team.

Once the prospect and Freedom Boat Club has jointly determined a mutual fit, it’s time to execute the franchise agreement! At this point, the search begins for a specific marina location, with active assistance from Freedom Boat Club.

When the marina location has been confirmed, the new franchisee executes a lease for slips, with oversight provided by Freedom Boat Club.

Once the decision and lease is confirmed, the new franchise owner/operator and any key members of his team attend three to four  days of 1:1 new franchise training held on site with the corporate Freedom Boat Club team.

Once the training is completed, then it’s time to throttle forward and get your plans in motion! Depending on the circumstances and franchise requirements, members of the Freedom Boat Club corporate team may be onsite at the franchise location for local market training.
